For the Development Department of our Tübingen location, we are looking for a

Security Architect for Medical Device Connectivity (m/f/d)


Your Responsibilities


  • You will be responsible for the conception and development of a secure architecture for connecting medical devices to a cloud infrastructure (e.g. Azure) throughout the entire product lifecycle
  • You will contribute to the design and implementation of security architectures for the networking of devices in medical facilities
  • You will design and be responsible for processes, methods and tools in security management for the development of devices and digital products
  • You will define security-related criteria for monitoring systems in the field using post-market surveillance
  • You will support the teams in tasks such as identifying security-related vulnerabilities using threat analyses (e.g. vulnerability scanning) and developing countermeasures
  • You will be committed to working closely and constructively with other departments to develop a global security system
  • You will ensure compliance with legal requirements

Your Skills


  • You have a degree in computer science or a comparable science or engineering discipline, ideally complemented by several years of professional experience 
  • You are passionate about IT security and networking with cloud services, with experience in the embedded environment of medical systems being an advantage
  • You have experience in implementing complex security concepts
  • Ideally, you have experience with common cloud environments (including Azure) and medical device networking, as well as knowledge of ISO/IEEE 11073, IEC 62443 and IEC 81001-5-1 
  • CISSP or CCSP certification is an advantage (support for qualification or certification possible)
  • You are business-fluent in English
