November is Men’s Health Month. Our fathers, partners, brothers and friends face a health crisis that people rarely talk about. Men die too young. We mustn’t remain silent about this fact.
Since 2003, Movember, a charitable organization, has funded over 1,250 projects on men’s health carried out around the globe, questioning the status quo and calling for action on expansion of research on men’s health with the aim of changing the way health services access and support men. Prostate cancer, testicular cancer and other serious diseases are some of the reasons why many men die quite early.
The name Movember combines the word moustache with the name of the 11th month, November. The Movember campaign involves recruiting men to grow a moustache in the month of November to raise donations or to simply show solidarity with the campaign’s goal.
We will donated 100 Euros to the Movember Foundation for every moustache grown by one of our employees, supporting research projects on men’s health in this way.
